Catching Up...

Time to catch up I guess..

Amelie started walking on Father's Day (while Ben was at work) which was a day after her 10 month birthday. She's now very - very quick when she wants to be.

Amelie hates to wear shoes but finds that they make GREAT chew toys.

Her first word was TeTat (Kitty Cat), second Dada and third Bonk. She can say mamamama sporadically but I'm not quite convinced she associates it with me yet.

She loves to wave bye and hello to people but not on command.

She LOVES to read. We read every day, multiple times a day.

Amelie loves to people watch and LOVES other babies.

She's getting two more bottom teeth and we've not once heard a peep out of her. She is a pro at getting teeth.

She likes her sippy cup, but ONLY when someone holds it for her and still prefers to have someone hold the bottle for her. Why hold onto it when you can multitask and use your hands for OTHER things.

She's eating everything we eat, which makes meal times VERY EASY!

She's down by 8:30 pm and up at 7 am every day - lucky me.

Not a fan of pickles...

Enjoys spaghetti.

Put something on this kids head and it will remain there. Hats, wigs, clips - it's all good in her book.

Ben had a birthday!

Amelie shared her pool with a friend who hated it. Poor guy thought it was some kind of torture.

The other kids liked their "big pool" - I promise it looked MUCH bigger on the box.

Uncle Rick came for a visit.
Ben and his oldest brother.

Rick and Sharon, Ben's cousin, made a pit stop by our home on their way to see the last shuttle launch. Sharon works for NASA and was able to see and experience (with Rick at her side) more than the average joe schmoe.

Mornings are tough around here. But give Amelie a good book and we can all take our time waking up.

Amelie LOVED Her balloon. Kent and Amelie napping with the rest of us worked hard to prepare for a MEGA youth dance.
Showing off her new shades that mom got for 75% off!
Dinner tonight. She couldn't quite figure out where her pear went. I love this kid.

We're on the countdown. Just a little over 1 month left and then those cheeks will be so red and sore from my endless kisses. I adore her and can't wait to stay home with her. Now only if we could somehow sell the house...
