Fun in Malad

When we arrived in Malad on Monday Morning (3 weeks ago), no one was home.  So we just let ourselves in, unpacked and made ourselves at home.  Of course the first thing Amelie opens (thinking it's a toy) was her cousin Bella's nail polish stash.  LOL.  She then insisted on painting her nails hot pink.  Why not!  She did a lovely job.  However, she's EXACTLY like me.  Immediately after the nail polish dried, she began to pick it off (I hate nail polish on my finger nails) and by that night there was nothing left.

That night was a special treat.  The Bowling Ally (literally the only thing to do in the town) was doing open bowling.  It was the first time in YEARS that they held open bowling and we weren't going to miss it!    So my sister and I took the girls and let them bowl their hearts out (which was all of one game).

Anytime someone did something good (knock pins down) Amelie would squat down and do a booty dance.  I KNOW she's never seen this done and so I can only guess that it's a natural jig she came up with.  However, it was HILARIOUS to watch.

Amelie was also our #1 cheerleader.  Always shouting Go - persons name - Go whenever it was their time.  She sure enjoyed herself!

That night, Grandma pulled the two girls up on her lap for stories.  It would be the last time she could hold them both on her lap for a while as the next day she was getting her right hip replaced.
