Documenting our life.

I guess I should do a real post.  I used to do these on a fairly regular basis, but then life kind of took off and I've been doing my best to keep my head above water. So this trusty old blog got a little dust on it, however today is dusting day.

Ephram: GINORMOUS. Not yet 6 months and 20 - 21 pounds of pure awesomeness. Lots of smiles, good naps, and big puffy marshmallow cheeks that I cannot resist. Love the jumparoo and can roll from front to back and back to front, but no 360's yet.  Alert, loves interaction, loves play time, loves his sister. Gives the best gummy smiles. Hugs and gives slobbery kisses. Seriously, he gives kisses. Amelie never gave kisses at this age, but he does. He eats EVERY 2 HOURS.  I consider it a miracle if he goes longer than 2 hours.

He has not figured out that night time is for LONG PERIODS OF SLEEP. For example, it's 12:15 am right now, and he is awake - and will be for at least another hour. Yea!! So in an effort to help his milk stick to his jumbo ribs more, we've started to put a little oatmeal in it. However it doesn't seem to be helping. Two weeks. TWO WEEKS and he'll be on solids and hopefully able to go longer between meals.  Than again, I suspect he'll inhale his food and love it.

So in general he chooses one of two schedules and it's always a surprise.

Schedule 1:
9:30 pm - bed time.
11:30 pm - EAT, go back to sleep
1:30 am - EAT, go back to sleep
3:30 am - EAT, Stay awake and expect mom to play with me.
5:30 am - EAT. Lay down in bed. Talk to myself. Then maybe after sufficiently torturing mom and making her get up 10 times because of my squawking, fall asleep.
7:00 - 7:30 am - AWAKE ready to start the day!

Schedule 2:
9:30 pm - Bed time.
11:30 pm - Eat, Stay awake and expect mom to play with me.
1:30 - 2:00 pm - Eat. Lay down in bed and torture mom for at least 30 minutes before I fall asleep.
3:30 pm - Eat and go back to bed.
5:30 am - Eat. Stay awake and expect mom to play with me!
7:00 am - Eat. Go back to bed.
8:30 am - Wake up. Eat. And expect mom to play with me.

Amelie: LOVES her brother. Is often found playing with him, entertaining him, and in general just being next to him at all times. Loves her bike, to read books, bake, art projects, paint, home school activities, singing, dancing and the ipad. She's 30 pounds of cuteness and we adore her.

Ben: Building websites, living life, being an awesome dad.

Janelle: Mom, wife, cook, baker, website foodie, blogger, Gospel Doctrine teacher, and soon to be professional packer.

So that is our lives in a nutshell.

Things that happened this past month:
We just visited my parents for the last time before we move.
Janelle made 17 crafts for various swaps and finally checked off much of her to-do list.
Worked on the food website a LOT.
Lots of cooking. Lots of baking. Lots of really good food in preparation for the move.
Janelle catered a church event for 175 (appetizers only) on short notice and survived. It actually went really well.
Packed a little. Prepared for the move.

Things happening this month and in future:
LOTS of packing. More Packing. And even more packing.
Move to Minnesota at the end of the month.
Toss it all into a storage unit.
Move in with Ben's parents.
Take off to FL for the month of May

I'll post photos in a future post. This is really just documentary.
