Back when Amelie broke her leg, her friend Emily Poor came over and brought her a get well gift of a pet dog. We promptly named it Roxy. Amelie was quite upset yesterday as she discovered a long string coming out of Roxy's foot. As any concerned 'parent' would do, she brought her baby to her Mommy to fix. It was a close call, but with Doctor Amelie's help, we were able to snip the string and swiftly apply a band-aid (Dora of course) to Roxy's boo-boo. All of this was quickly followed by a kiss and a promise that patient Roxy could sleep with Amelie during nap time.
Today, we discovered that ANOTHER paw had a string too - and emergency surgery was quickly preformed for that paw too.
I should note that our patient is doing well and has recovered quicker than expected, thanks to Doctor Amelie and her continual outpouring of love to Roxy.
