My heart goes out to Amelie and her determination to make friends with Toby. Toby just does not like kids. It's not Amelie's fault. Toby's dislike of kids goes back years before Amelie was born. We thought that maybe since Toby would see Amelie grow up that she would give her a chance. Nope.
So a week ago (yes we are slackers on putting away our halloween stuff) Amelie went and laid down on my chicken costume "and take a nap". She then would put her hand close to Toby's tail inching her hand closer and closer until Toby's tail would twitch, whacking her in the head. She would cry out in giggles saying that tickles! And then do it again. I think deep down Toby liked this game because it gave her the opportunity to whack Amelie without getting in trouble. A win-win.
