In preparation for our trip to Minnesota, Amelie was quite insistent that she needed to play dentist and brush daddy's teeth. I mean how can you go on a road trip without a two year old scrubbing your teeth right?
All packed and ready to go. We left at 6:00 pm and drove to Mount Rushmore. We stayed the night in Keystone, ND and after about 7 or 8 hours of sleep we were off to see the "men in the mountain." Amelie was SOOOOO excited and kept asking if we were there yet. She really wanted to see them.
Saturday morning, after waking up, we spent about an hour at Mount Rushmore looking at everything they had to offer. Amelie loved it. After our hour there, we grabbed lunch and headed on to Minnesota, arriving in St. Cloud around 10:00 pm that night.
This trip required a bathroom break every two hours for poor mama and her tiny pregnant bladder. But lucky for her, Ben and Amelie were GREAT sports about it all, even though it did add quite a bit of time to our travels.
