On my way up to independence pass...my favorite part is the occassional one way road around a sharp curve. You drive slow and hope someone else isn't coming the other way. The first time I drove up to Independence Pass was a NIGHT when it was pitch black - not the smartest decision I've ever made - especially when I saw how I was driving on a CLIFF ... :)
I made it to the top! Look at all that snow on the mountain...it wasn't here last year!
At the top of the hike you find a lake... a peaceful lake just as still as ever. 
A classic self photo of me sitting on top of one of the many boulders surrounding the lake. After a decent uphill hike, I felt I deserved a few minutes of relaxation!
