This picture just goes to show how far behind on these things I am. This picture was taken a few weeks ago at a fall festival our church youth group leaders hold down in Palatka every other year. We had a great turn out from our youth and really couldn't have made it happen without multiple people in our ward donating their vehicles to us to transport the youth. Thank you to everyone who helped!
At the beginning of the Fall Festival are lots of games. Our ward was in charge of ring toss and had the youth toss glow in the dark bracelets around the bottles. If they got 3 to stick, then they got a bracelet. Anything else and they were give a creepy crawly creature. There were also three legged races, cookie walk (spin on cake walk), donut on a string and pie eating contest. It was lots of fun. They also had Hot Dogs, Chili Dogs and Slaw Dogs with chips. After all the games we roasted marshmallows to make s'mores and then all hopped on the tractors for haunted hay rides. The picture above is one that Ben took of me with some of the youth before we took off. We had several more youth but they were scattered on the various tractors with their friends.
We look forward to this again in two years as it's always a hit with the youth and leaders!
