We decided that our summer splurge would be season passes to Elitch Gardens - Denver's version of six flags. One section is for swimming and water activities and the other section is for rides. Unfortunately our camera died immediately. So we only got two pictures. One of Amelie snuggling with her dad. The other of us on the carousel. We rode the carousel SEVERAL times. And we each got to name our horses. Amelie named hers Aroya, I named mine Butter Cup and Ben's was Ginger.
The water was FREEZING as it's SUN warmed and perhaps by July it will be warm enough to dip our toes into. The ride side has an entire section dedicated to kids and Amelie LOVED every ride. She was SOOO brave as most she had to do on her own. She rode the paint buckets (tea cups), swings, boats, airplanes and others all by herself but her FAVORITE ride was the Bus. It just went up and down and all around like a ferris wheel. She was SOOOOOOO excited by it because to her, it was the magic school bus a show she loves.
All in all we are excited to have passes as they were cheaper than a day pass to Disney and Amelie loved every moment.
