Another trip to Elitch Gardens

Amelie has been BEGGING to go back and after setting a few goals for her and her meeting 90% of them, we decided to go.  We were quite proud of her and the little girl she is becoming.  She really is amazing.  When we arrived, there were dark clouds and lightening in the area, so the water park and most of the rides were closed.  The kids section however was up and running AND not very busy!  So we played here until the water park opened up again.

She insisted on riding the motorcycles three all in hopes to get the blue one.  Unfortunately Blue was always the FIRST choice and Amelie had to settle for Red, Orange and Pink.

For the boats she got her blue!  She was quite excited about it and "raced" her boat the entire time (determined look on face, quick steering and lots of bell ringing).

For the Semi Trucks (or as Amelie called them - Ice Cream Trucks), She HAD TO HAVE PINK!  As you can see, she's passing out cones as she drives by.

The blue plane was taken, so we settled for pink.  We were so proud of her because she finally figured out how to go up in the air.  Something we try to teach her each time, but this time she finally caught on!

Amelie's FAVORITE ride.  She calls it the "Magic School Bus."  Unfortunately this time, the ride made her tummy feel silly (something she's been experiencing a lot lately) and by the end of the ride she was ready to get off.

After the magic school bus she wanted to do the paint cans.  I thought for sure that this ride would make her tummy feel silly too.  But it didn't.  She did great and insisted on riding it again!

And what visit is complete without a ride on Aroya and Ginger.  I opted to give Buttercup a break and ride on a seat instead.

Amelie also insisted on riding on a new horse this time too.  This horse was stationary and VERY dusty.  But Amelie wanted to make sure this horse felt some love and ride it.  We asked her what the name of the horse was and she proudly announced Gadoslaba.  Where she comes up with these names, we have no idea!

Finally the water park opened again.  Though warmer than the last time we were there, it was still a bit chilly.  Unfortunately adults cannot accompany children on the slides and so Amelie hasn't been brave enough to do a slide by herself yet.  However we do like to splash water on each other, play ring around the rosies and walk around.  We are hoping that the next time we go, the water will be warm enough for her to be brave enough to do the slides, lazy river and wave pool.

Despite not doing any of the fun water activities, we certainly all have fun together.
