Our next door neighbors got married a week ago today. Amelie was VERY excited to see the "princess" as she ADORES our neighbor and her cat even more. So the entire time Amelie kept asking where the princess was. When she came through the doors Amelie said (rather loudly), There's Michelle - She's a princess!
After the ceremony was dinner, cake, dancing and mingling. We were lucky enough to sit by friends who helped entertain Amelie and distract her from the cake. Amelie LOVES the idea of cakes, but doesn't like to eat cake. So all night she kept asking if we could eat the cake. And finally when they announced it was cake time she got SUPER SUPER excited - and then ate all of 3 bites. :)
But her FAVORITE part was at the end when the real music came on and the real dancing began. She LOVED it. She wanted to dance all night and when we finally had to drag her away at just after 10:00 she was very very sad.
Overall we loved every moment and were so glad that we were able to be a part of our neighbors big day. We sure did luck out when it came to neighbors!
