Amelie woke up at 3:30 this morning with a temperature of 101 and WIDE AWAKE! She kept rambling on and on about the train and how we can go on one together at night and this conversation lasted 20 minutes until I finally invited her to go downstairs for a quick show. Well one show turned into 2 hours of shows and at 5:30 we finally went back to bed, still with a fever (no meds in the house). When she FINALLY woke up at 11:00 am, her fever had broke and she continued her train conversation without missing a beat.
We ran to walmart after a quick breakfast to grab meds and a "sick day" movie. Amelie chose Cars. A movie she's never seen but she does own a few of the cars characters.
At around 3:30 pm, he was acting like her same old self, ZERO signs of being sick and begging to go out and play. (It was 67 and PERFECT today). So we grabbed some snacks and hit the park to feed the birds an old loaf of homemade bread. Amelie LOVED it and we were quite surprised at how friendly a squirrel was as he would continuously beg Amelie for some of her duck bread. After the birds were fed, we played at the park until 5 when we headed home.
So much for a sick day.
