Amelie and I took off for a local egg hunt here in town. Ben was unable to attend because he was volunteering at the church farm (not realizing it was the Saturday before Easter).
So Amelie and I made sure to get there early, to get a parking spot and a good hunting spot. After a bit of a wait, they let the kids loose. Amelie was much more hesitant to get the eggs because there were so many kids, many younger than her. She was very good at letting the smaller kids get some eggs and not stealing them all. She got enough eggs to satisfy her. She had a great time and even got to say hi the bunny.
*Funny story. While we were waiting for the hunt to start, the Easter Bunny was walking around saying hi to everyone. Amelie declares to me "He's wearing a costume!" If you remember MY Halloween costume it's a full suit. So she fully understands "costumes." However, she insisted on telling all the kids around her that he was wearing a costume and despite my trying to tell her to shush, she was quite insistent on it. :) Smarty Pants.
When we got home she was pretty sad that there wasn't another hunt waiting for her. Poor kid.
