Amelie has never uttered a word of complaint about having a brother. Never complained about not getting enough attention and is always understanding when it comes to having to share mom and dad. However, out of curiosity, we asked her one day, "Should we take Ephram back and give him away?" To our joy, she became very serious and in a panicked and almost crying voice said "No! Don't give him away, I want to keep him!"
And so, our hope is that as Ephram grows up, Amelie will continue to love him as much as she does now and that they can become best friends. She waited a year and half for him. She has wanted him and waited for him and prayed for him. And now that she has him, she is not willing to give him up. And neither are we.
